Well, Minneapolis, we did it! Our first Fashion Revolution Day event. We had a fantastic turnout: about 130 students, artists, makers, and concerned citizens packed out the Minnesota Textile Center to add their voices to the greater #FashRev movement.
One thing that struck me was the incredible number of ethical businesses we have in the Twin Cities area who are empowering artisans around the world, promoting slow fashion, re-using textiles and turning them into new and beautiful things... From Fair-trade veteran Ten Thousand Villages to tiny, new Etsy shops- ethical fashion is taking Minneapolis & St Paul by storm!
Thanks to all who attended and to our amazing sponsors who paid for the venue and raised several hundred dollars for Rana Plaza relief!
