My little sister came to visit me for a few days and we took advantage of the time together and gorgeous sunshine to snap a few photos of some lovely ethically made products from Buy The Change. My Friend Kari began Buy The Change (I love the clever play on words in her shop's name) in an effort provide employment for traditional artisans. The shop is stocked with jewlery, home goods, and accessories like this lovely tooled leather bag:
I've never been much of a purse-carrier, but I often wear skirts and dresses without pockets, so I've been known to carry my phone in my hand or ask Andrew to shove it in his pocket if he's with me. This little bag is the perfect size for my phone, keys, check card, ID, and a pair of sunglasses! I'll check in with you all later in the summer to update you on whether I've become a purse convert! This bag is certainly useful and pretty enough to tempt me!
Buy the Change also stocks a variety of gorgeous Kantha quilts. Kantha quilts are made from layers of old, worn saris, hand stitched together with colorful thread. The long, thin shape of these blankets makes them perfect for an end-of-bed throw!
This gorgeous quilt is going to be a part of this month's big ethical giveaway! I'm so excited to be able to share these great products with you- A huge thank you to Buy The Change for sending these lovely goods!
