Tech-Worthy, Ethical Bags from Est Wst Collective

Remember how I was talking about needing to replace my aged laptop bag? This convertible Kathmandu Canvas bag  from fantastic ethical company Est Wst Collective fits the bill perfectly! Classy enough to carry to meetings, but still infused with a bit of uniqueness and personality- just my style.

In addition to being socially responsible and environmentally conscious, Est Wst bags are made with technology in mind- sized to fit laptops and ipads perfectly.

The interior of the bag is waterproof, protected with shock-proof recycled foam (a huge improvement from my last laptop bag, which was made of thick cotton but no padding), and full of handy pockets- I can easily organize my laptop, cords, headphones, notebooks, phone and other essentials with room to spare!

Other materials used  in EST WST bags include biodegradable pu leather, organic cotton, and hand-loomed patterned pieces created by independent weavers throughout Nepal and India. The strap detaches and allows the bag to be worn as a backpack or over-the-shoulder!

The bags are manufactured in Nepal in a fair-labor factory, and Est Wst is committed to preserving traditional culture though the textiles that they use as well as providing local jobs for Nepali workers who might otherwise be forced to leave the country to find work.

Check out a few other pieces for Est Wst that I love below! Andrew's got his eye on that rucksack to replace his grimy old backpack (Which he's had since high school!) Which is your favorite?
