Though I absolutely believe in the "capsule" movement and having a small, edited wardrobe (I'm currently at 40 items in my closet total and plan to do even more "editing"- there are some things that I don't really wear that I'm holding on to...) I just can't get on board with the monotone wardrobe trend that seems to accompany it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE white, black, and grey... but a girl's got to have some color!
Colors make me happy (especially yellow and blue!) and it's a fact my friends know well- one of my more "famous" quotes that still gets joked about today is the time that I proclaimed "I'm happiest when I'm dressed like a box of crayons!". You can feel the color-love in my house, too: seafoam green chairs, a teal sofa, bright floral prints.
The bright colors in my Ella blouse from Imagine Goods are just gorgeous and today's outfit post might be one of my favorites yet! (You know that I love me some Imagine Goods, right? My wrap skirt and vintage style apron are from Imagine Goods, too). I knew when I saw the blouse that it would be the perfect thing to wear with my handmade fair trade tulle skirt (you can read about where I got my fair trade fabric in this post)! I love how the crossover back drapes when it's tucked in. So elegant. My pearls are from Starfish Project- probably my most-worn earrings!
