I've seen so many awesome ethical gift boxes floating around on social media that I decided I needed to dedicate a holiday giving post to them! Subscription boxes are all the rage- I understand why, since they're a fuss-free way to give a beautifully curated gift to someone you love (or a fun way to discover new ethical brands for yourself)!
Today I'm reviewing three different gift boxes that are perfect for various people in my life. I hope this post gives you a good idea of what you can expect from each box and whether each one is a good fit for your gift-giving needs!
1. Bon Joy Box
Bon Joy Box is the first ethical gift box that I discovered, way back when they first started! In their two years of being in business, Bon Joy has worked with an impressive list of ethical, give-back companies. Bon Joy offers monthly, seasonal, and on-demand boxes that range in price from $20.00-$45.00.
The box featured in this post is the Fall Seasonal Curation. It features bath and body products, a beautiful batik jewelry roll, gorgeous earrings (from one of my favorite companies, Dear Survivor), and more!
I'd give this box to one of my sisters. It's the perfect combination of practical and "treat yourself" that I know they'd love.
Bon Joy Box is eco-friendly, as well! Bon Joy Boxes are wrapped up in recycled packaging, and they have worked with BLUEdot to become certified carbon-neutral!
For Gift-giving, you may choose to purchase a one-time box for gift giving if you don't want to order a full subscription right away. You can choose a theme that fits the person you're giving the box to- whether they are a foodie, a fashionista, or a traveler.
I received The Giving Box to review and photograph for this post, filled with hand painted dishware and beautiful paper boxes and giftware, and I immediately knew that the perfect person in my life to gift this particular box to would be my Mother in Law! She's one of the most warm and caring people in my life, and she loves to send thoughtful notes and cook for people! I still have handwritten notes from her (from even before I married Andrew!) saved in a little box.
Your Globein artisan box will arrive in a fun turquoise box, and contain information on the stories behind the various items that it contains.
Use code should be: L+S+J for $10 off a 3-month or longer Artisan Box subscription.
3. Pozzy Box
COST: $49.99 | Instagram | Website
Pozzy Box is the new kid on the block, and I'm so impressed! Pozzy Box focuses on handmade/small batch and eco friendly items, curated around a theme. I got to check out a preview "warm wishes" themed box and it's adorable!
Perfect for cozying up under a blanket with a book, or treating someone you love to a little self-care after the holidays, each item is thoughtfully chosen with comfort and relaxation in mind.
Pozzy Box has the prettiest packaging I've seen so far, with a ton of attention to detail- you'll open your box to a carefully arranged grid of items nestled into tissue and tied with a ribbon made from a recycled sari!
I think my favorite item in the box is the bath tea- it adds such a lovely visual touch to the box, and who doesn't love a nice long soak in a floral-scented water?
For gift-giving, I'd choose this box for a friend to enjoy. Most of the 20-something women in my life are constantly busy and stressed. My closest friends and I are constantly encouraging each other to slow down and take time to rest, and this would be such a lovely, tangible way to show a friend some love and care!
Pozzy box launches on December 4th, with their first box shipping out on January 10th. You'll be able to choose a month-to-month, 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month option for your subscription (different discounts are available for each subscription level).
Use code LIFESTYLEJUSTICE when you order for a permanent 10% discount on your subscription!
