Peppermint Latte with Numi Tea

This post is sponsored by Life+Style+Justice partner Numi Tea. All ideas and opinions, as always, are my own!

It's officially after Thanksgiving so I can talk about Christmas-themed food + drinks! I drink alot of tea and other warm beverages year-round, but my consumption of said drinks definitely increases once the temperature drops below 40 degrees. I've been experimenting with some of my favorite Numi teas to come up with new wintery blends.

This peppermint latte is one of my favorites! I've always loved mint tea, and Numi's Moroccan Mint flavor is amazing. One of the reasons that I love Numi Tea so much and have chosen to partner with the company on a regular basis is the complete transparency within their sourcing. Numi sources their nana mint from farms in North Africa where their Fair Trade certified partners plan to use the money they've earned through herb sales to invest in schools, sanitation and a bus to transport workers.

Peppermint Latte Instructions:

  1. Brew two Numi Moroccan Mint Tea bags in 1/2 cup of water according to the instructions.
  2. Heat 2/3 cup to 1 cup of milk (I use coconut) in a small saucepan over the stove.
*optional: if you have a milk frother, use it to froth the milk as it warms
  3. Pour the hot, frothed milk into your super-strong tea mixture
  4. Top with sweetened whipped cream and a few crushed peppermint candies.

So simple! Serve this latte at your next holiday party, or just treat yourself to a warming (but still refreshing) drink to ward off chilly fingers and toes.
