The People's Runway
As part of the event, we're literally asking people to "take over the runway". Wear an item of clothing that is recycled, repurposed, handmade, thrifted, fair trade, eco-friendly, organic, or ethically made and strut your stuff on our makeshift runway. It's time for the people to tell the fashion industry what we value and what we want to see more of in the marketplace. Space for this segment is limited, so if you'd like to sign up Contact Hannah to get your name on the list!

Americans consume nearly 20 billion new items of clothing each year. Yet few of us know how our clothes are made, much less who produces them. Cotton Road follows the commodity of cotton from South Carolina farms to Chinese factories to illuminate the work and industrial processes in a global supply chain.Cotton Road is winning awards and accolades at juried film festivals around the world. It is only available to the public through sponsored screenings such as this one so do not miss this chance to see it in the Twin Cities and network with others interested in ethical fashion and conscious consumerism. Our event will be held at the Minnesota Textile Center. We'll be packing out this gorgeous space with local designers, shop owners, and organizations who are committed to the ethical+sustainable fashion movement. Come and connect!
